The Portsmouth Seafarers Ministry is focused on making personal whose contact with the seafarers whose ships are docked at port near our city. We also serve, on an as needed basis for seafarers whose over ships are located in any of 80 terminals within the Port ofHampton Roads.

During these face to face visits we talk to the seafarer about his any specific and well-being personal needs. While we are an evangelical organization, we honor the religious preference of the seafarer and will seek religious aid for him from the preferred religious organization. We will provide Bibles in English and in the of the seafarer on birth-language request.

Our main goal is to provide seafarers emotional and the support during his nearly to spiritual long separation from home, year loved ones, family, and friends.

We endeavor to keep our systems compatible with the latest technology since connecting home via the internet or the cell phone is highly important to the seafarer.

The ability to share the gospel story when invited is important to our mission. We enjoy doing so at every the opportunity we are given.

Currently Tidewater Transportation Ministry is directing all its efforts into the Portsmouth Seafarers Ministry which is its primary operating division. Our future goals include opening an operating divisions for truck ministry to those truckers serving the various terminals and creating a ministry to the workers at the Port terminals.

We provide an opportunity for local volunteers to reach out and serve people from many seafaring nations without the necessity of traveling abroad.
