Missionaries | Jim & Mandy Wells
Jim and Mandy Wells serve as International Mission Board missionaries in Peru. Lima, the capital and home to more than 11 million people, is the base of operations for Jim, Mandy, and their two children. One of Jim and Mandy’s favorite things about their ministry is getting to spend time with people, share life with them, and eventually share the gospel.
Partnering with a local church, Mandy and Jim host a kid’s club each Saturday morning in a low-income area of the city. They serve breakfast and share Bible stories with the children. This has given Mandy an opportunity to begin a women’s Bible study with moms. They work with Mandy to prepare breakfast for the more than 40 children who attend the kid’s club.

Jim and Mandy Wells met in Peru while she was serving in the Journeyman program and he was working through his church alongside International Mission Board (IMB) missionaries.
The Wells family served for seven years in Mexico before moving to Lima, Peru.
Mr. Wells likes to play soccer. He uses soccer to connect with other men in Lima.
Once Mr. Wells was very excited to see snow since he had not seen it for many years. He was less excited about snow when he got stuck up in the mountains in a snowstorm and had to spend the night in the storm.
Micah enjoys playing video games and Ellie likes to play with friends.
Prayer Requests
Pray for the churches in Peru and the United States to work together to start new churches.
Pray for the people with whom Mr. and Mrs. Wells have shared the gospel to make the decision to love and follow Jesus.
Pray that the Wells family will have the right papers when they need them so they can continue to live in Peru.
Pray for the family as they miss their extended family back in the United States.
Pray that Bible stories can be translated into local languages so people from remote areas can understand the Bible stories.
