MISSIONS AREA: Baptist Collegiate Ministry

The Baptist Collegiate Ministry (BCM) at Shorter University is a “group of students seeking God, sharing the Gospel, and serving others.” College students lead the Shorter University BCM, which is focused on Jesus and church.

College students have weekly meetings called Refuge and weekly Bible studies called Lunchbox. They take part in community ministries at local churches, nursing homes, youth centers, and other service organizations. Students learn about Jesus and the Bible. They learn about loving and worshipping God and serving and helping others.

Shorter University BCM students take missions trips to Georgia, to other states, and around the world during spring, summer, and Christmas breaks. The missions trips are part of SendMeNow Missions in partnership with the Baptist Collegiate Ministries of the Georgia Baptist Convention.
